Senneh Persian Rugs
 
Senneh (Sanandaj) in Iran's Kurdistan Province is renowned for some of the finest hand-knotted Persian rugs. Weavers use a tight Persian (asymmetrical) knot on cotton foundations, producing dense, short-pile wool rugs with crisp, intricate detail. Signature designs include the small repeating herati or boteh motifs, and stepped central medallions on deep blue or red fields. Prized for precision and durability, Senneh rugs are timeless collector's pieces.
