Yes, it is perfectly legal to purchase and own rugs from Iran as long as they are already in the United States. We can't import rugs from Iran.

We list our rugs in categories and use the term "Persian" to describe rugs made in current-day Iran. While Persia was a larger area than just Iran, this is how we separate our rugs from Iran vs. all other rugs.
