Hamadan Persian Rugs
 
Hamadan is a major rug-producing region in western Iran, home to hundreds of village weavers whose sturdy, hand-knotted wool rugs are known for bold, floral and geometric designs. Lilihan, a village within the Hamadan region, is celebrated for finer, more detailed work, often featuring rich reds, ivory borders, and graceful floral or medallion patterns. Lilihan rugs are essentially the premium tier of Hamadan weaving, sharing its durability with added refinement.
