The rug has a low mostly even wool pile. Very good overall condition. This runner is believed to be from a village near Rudbar in Iran. Rugs from this area sometimes use a allover herati pattern with lightly colored fields, such as this rug. The fringe on the ends and selvedge on the sides are intact and ready to use. This is a lovely work of art just waiting for a new home to cherish it.
